LOCAL PREACHER?
A title entrusted to those who have been called to Pastoral Ministry, and are in the process of preparing themselves for that task, but have not yet been ordained. Pastor Michael is currently enrolled in the Evangelical Methodist Church’s Haggard School of Ministry, and hopes to complete his studies soon.
ON LOAN?
In order for an individual to qualify as a Local Preacher, they must be a Member of an EMC church, and be Sponsored by that Congregation. Although Pastor Michael is full time staff at Summit Church in Indiana PA, his credentials are with us as he is “on loan” to the A/G.
FROM OUR LOCAL ANNUAL CHURCH CONFERENCE REPORTS
In 2024, I continued my full-time employment with Summit Church in Indiana, PA. My role is Production Director, which means I’m responsible for building all the services and events in terms of audio, visuals, and lights. I continue to preach and lead Bible studies for the Young Adults ministry, UNITED. UNITED is a parachurch ministry that gathers local churches for worship and sermons aimed at the 18-30 demographic.
In addition to my work with Summit, I have continued my work in the podcasting space. The MHB Podcast is still produced today, although not at the pace I was hitting before the rigors of my Summit schedule, and I also produce the Summit Podcasts.
Thank you for your continued prayers for and support of my ministry to this community. I love being connected to the EMC through you and knowing that I have Dr. Strunk as a pastoral and theological resource when I need him.
