MR BOXES is a Philanthropic Initiative started by Brian & Sara Fricke out of the tragedy of losing their daughter at 34 weeks & 3 days. In honor of their daughter Molly Rose, & with a strong desire to support other dads who experience infant loss, they created care boxes for hospitals to give away. Beginning with just 22 boxes at West Penn in Pittsburgh, they have expanded over the last few years to supply the boxes to St. Claire, Forbes, Magee Women’s, & Butler Memorial hospitals.
Plans for the future include establishing connections & partnerships with other like-minded organizations & initiatives in the Pittsburgh area; selling merchandise & baked goods to help fund their work; & seeking grants.
