FAITH COMMUNITY?
The true meaning of the Greek word, EKKLESIA, which was unfortunately translated into English as “Church”. The People of God were always meant to be a Family of families, a multi-generational and multicultural Community of interdependence, reflecting God’s character before a watching world.
MINISTRY?
Too often the activity of the Church has been little more than a collection of over-organized, artificially perpetuated, programs. Sometimes called Ministry, these programs rarely accomplish what their stated goals are, over the long haul. True Ministry is a lifestyle of love. We love one another out of the overflow of the love which we have received from God.
We are deeply committed to the idea that true Ministry flows in and out of the lives of people in relationship with one another. As such, we tend to eschew program-centric models of Ministry, in favor of honoring the sacred spaces and rhythms of life. Our primary goal is to intentionally cultivate and prepare the space for the natural development of those relationships which are the fabric of the Faith Community.
